Glycerol-Free Thermostable DNA Helicase (MDX242) is a highly stable, multi-domain enzyme derived from the Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis uvrD gene (Tte UvrD helicase). It unwinds double-stranded DNA with 3’ to 5’ polarity using ATP hydrolysis without requiring an overhang structure. Capable of generating single-stranded templates without thermocycling, it remains functional at temperatures up to 65°C.
