MILLIFLEX OASIS® 100 mL funnel find its application in Bioburden testing, water monitoring and general microbiological analysis of beer, bottled water. They are widely used in pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.

General description

MILLIFLEX OASIS® 100 mL funnel is a ready-to-use, sterile filter unit that combine a funnel and a gridded membrane filter in a single device offering a complete solution for bioburden testing. The filter unit is made of Styrene butadiene copolymer and the membrane is made of mixed cellulose esters with 0.22 µm pore size, white gridded and 49mm diameter. The sealed integral membrane filter eliminates the need for membrane manipulation and handling, thus minimizing a major source of contamination and thereby improves bioburden testing reliability. The sealed membrane prevents the bypass phenomenon often found with other filtration systems. The MILLIFLEX OASIS® membrane filter possesses almost twice the surface area of standard membranes enabling faster filtration and the funnel can be easily detached from the membrane without the use of any tools. The convex shape of the membrane after filtration demonstrates the integrity of the membrane and prevents air bubbles from being trapped when placed on culture media.
