Application

The EZ-FIT® filtration units are used for detection of Yeasts and molds in liquid samples, including in process and final product samples in beverages, pharmaceuticals, and water. These products are also used in industrial QC and water monitoring.

General description

The EZ-FIT® filtration units are single-use filtration devices made of black, gridded, and mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane with a pink base. They provide a safe and fast way of performing membrane filtration, along with time saving and reliable microbial enumeration results. They also prevent any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane. These filtration units are pre-sterilized, a vented lid covers the sample throughout filtration, and a 360° rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area and protect samples from contamination. The filtration process can be visualized from any angle until the end, through the clear and transparent funnel material. These filtration units minimize sample residue and can be stacked to save the work area. This disposable device is designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT® Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT® Filtration heads. It can also fit onto a standard #8 stopper. The bulk packaged units are provided with a protective plastic bag.
