SGL Fluid K (0.1% Peptone Water + 0.1% Tween + 0.3% Beef Extract) (USP); 300mL in 500mL

A diluting and rinsing fluid for sterility testing of pharmaceutical products. Fluid K is supplemented with 0.3% beef extract and 0.1% Tween 80 and is suitable for testing samples that contain petrolatum, oils, or oily solutions. Excellent for rinsing pathways of medical devices, and for samples that are ″difficult″ to filter or dissolve. Diluent described in the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) 71>. The diluent is primarily used as a general rinse or diluent to test a wide variety of typically oils or oily samples as part of the USP 71> sterility test.
