The Thermo Scientific DNA Low Binding Snap Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes Sustain Series offers an eco-friendly solution for lab researchers in biotech, pharma, and forensics. Made from ISCC PLUS certified biobased polypropylene [M1] derived from second-generation waste and residue oils, these tubes help reduce greenhouse gas emissions—3.43 kg CO2e per kg of biobased polypropylene. By choosing these sustainable tubes, customers can reduce their carbon footprint, support Scope 3 emission reduction targets, and contribute to a circular economy, all while maintaining the same performance standards as fossil fuel-based alternatives.
- Low DNA binding: PCR efficiency > 75% after storing 100, 10, 1 copies of gDNA at -80degC for 24 hours.
- Human DNA free: hDNA .03pg/uL
- PCR inhibitor free: PCR run down to 0.001 ng/uL gDNA using water incubated at 95degC for 1 hour.
- UV leachable free: UV absorbance of water less than 0.02 au (220 and 230 nm) and less than 0.01 au (260 and 280 nm) after 16-18 hour incubation at 65°C.
