Hydrogenation and isomerization catalyst. Photoresponse of MoS₂ nanosheets, formed by chemical route was studied. MoS₂ may find potential applications in electronics and optoelectronics.

General description

Molybdenum disulfide is a two dimensional layered material. Monolayers of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs)exhibit photoconductivity. The layers of the TMD can be mechanically or chemicaly exfoliated to form nanosheets. TMD such as MoS₂ shows non linear optical property, it was studied in detail by ns pulsed laser at 1064 nm and 532 nm.
