Schiff′s reagent is used for the qualitative or quantitative assay of carbohydrates. Periodic acid-Schiff′s reagent (PAS)stain is broadly applicable in histology for visualizingglycogen,glycoproteins, mucins, and otherpolysaccharides in tissue and cells.
