BOND Epitope Retrieval Solution 2 is a ready-to-use EDTA based pH 9 epitope retrieval solution for the heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue on the BOND automated system.
The use of a HIER pre-treatment on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue on the BOND automated system restores epitopes that have been modified by formalin fixation, allowing accessibility of the primary antibody to the epitope.
