General description

DDX4 (Vasa or MVH) is a member of the DEAD family of proteins and is a probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase. DDX4 (Vasa) proteins are mostly localized in testicular germ cells in the cytoplasm of spermatocytes. DDX4 (Vasa) is a high-copy extragenic suppressor gene. DDX4 (Vasa) is shown to be significantly decreased in spermatozoa of men that are infertile and may have an important role in male fertility.

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of mouse DDX4 (Vasa).

Purified rabbit polyclonal in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) with 0.05% sodium azide.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blot in mouse testis tissue lysate.

Western Blot Analysis: A 1:500 dilution of this antibody detected DDX4 (Vasa) in 10 µg of mouse testis tissue lysate. Western Blot performed without Tween.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes DDX4 (Vasa) at the C-terminus.

Storage and Stability
