Cole-Parmer® cell culture spinner flasks incorporate a unique upwards protrusion in the base that, in cooperation with the bulb-ended glass stirrer rod, helps lift cells into suspension at the lowest possible speeds. This aids attachment and promotes circulation of the medium around the cells to encourage a high rate of growth while helping to eliminate cell damage. Both the culture vessel and stir rod are silicone-encapsulated to reduce the possibility of cells attaching to and growing on the surfaces. These borosilicate glass culture flasks come calibrated, and have two side ports and a central filling port. All culture vessel parts are suitable for repeated autoclaving at 121°C (250°F) and 15 psi for 30 minutes. All internal components are biologically inert.
