Application

Anti-BMP-2, clone 4O5 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1489, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that specifically targets BMP-2 and is tested for use in Affinity Binding Assay, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, and Western Blotting.

Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound human recombinant BMP-2 with a KD of 1.8 x 10-8 in an affinity binding assay.Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected BMP-2 in one million HepG2 cells.Flow Cytometry Analysis: 0.1 µg from a representative lot detected BMP-2 in HepG2 cells.Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user

General description

ZooMAb antibodies represent an entirely new generation of recombinant monoclonal antibodies. Each ZooMAb antibody is manufactured using our proprietary recombinant expression system, purified to homogeneity, and precisely dispensed to produce robust and highly reproducible lot-to-lot consistency. Only top-performing clones are released for use by researchers. Each antibody is validated for high specificity and affinity across multiple applications, including its most commonly used application. ZooMAb antibodies are reliably available and ready to ship when you need them.Learn more about ZooMAb here.

Immunogen

GST/His-tagged recombinant fragment corresponding to 101 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human BMP-2.

Legal Information

ZooMAb is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany

Physical form

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Reconstitution

0.3 mg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.

Specificity

Clone 4O5 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP-2). It targets an epitope within the C-terminal half.

Storage and Stability

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.

Target description

Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (UniProt: Q00534; also known as EC:2.7.11.22, Cell division protein kinase 6, Cdk6, Serine/threonine-protein kinase PLSTIRE) is encoded by the CDK6 (also known as CDKN6) gene (Gene ID: 1021) in human. CDK6 is a ubiquitously expressed serine/threonine-protein kinase that is involved in the control of the cell cycle and differentiation. Its kinase domain is localized to amino acids 13-300 and its kinase activity is observed only in the nucleus. It associates with D-type cyclins (D1, D2 and D3), and the resulting complexes enable the cell to pass from the G1 phase to the S phase. Its binding to cyclin promotes its activation by phosphorylation at threonine 177. CDK6 is considered as a versatile player in transcriptional regulation and differentiation, participating in the integration of signaling networks and controlling changes in gene expression and epigenetic status, which contribute to cell fate determination. Over-expression of CDK6 has been reported in some leukemias and malignancies, including sarcoma, glioma, breast tumors, lymphoma, and melanoma. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
