FOXC2 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in the development of mesenchymal tissues.

General description

FOXC2 belongs to the forkhead transcription factor family and has a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. Increased expression of FOXC2 is known to prevent hypertriglyceridemia and insulin resistance induced by diet. FOXC2 has also been implicated in the metastasis of breast cancer.Rabbit Anti-FOXC2 antibody recognizes human, mouse, and canine FOXC2.
