General description
Also known as Lysine-specific demethylase 5D, this histone demethylase is specific for ′Lys-4′ of histone H3 and is known to play a central role in histone function and spermatogenesis. It demethylates trimethylated and dimethylated, but not monomethylated H3 ′Lys-4′. Uniprot.org states two different isoforms of this enzyme.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human JARID1D.
Other Notes
Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
Physical form
Affinity purified
Purified rabbit polyclonal in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blot in human testis tissue lysate.
Western Blot Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL of this antibody detected JARID1D in 10 µg of human testis tissue lysate.
Storage and Stability
Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.
Target description
~174 kDa observed. Two isoforms may be observed due to alternative splicing at a molecular weight of ~167 kDa and ~174 kDa in some cell lysates. An uncharacterized band at a molecular weight of ~255 kDa may be observed in some cell lysates.
