Application
This Anti-Tie-1 Antibody, C-terminus is validated for use in ELISA, WB for the detection of Tie-1.
Research CategorySignaling
Western blot: 1-10 µg/mL using ECL. NIH/3T3 cells can be used as positive control. The predicted size of Tie-1 is ~135-140 kDa.
ELISA: (1:10,000 -1:100,000) using 50-100 ng of control peptide per well.
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Other Notes
Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
Physical form
Affinity purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in PBS with 0.1% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide.
Specificity
Recognizes human Tunica internal endothelial cell kinase (Tie-1), also described as tyrosine protein kinase receptor. Tie-1 (human 1138 aa; mouse 1134 aa) is a type 1 membrane receptor protein specifically expressed in developing vascular endothelial cells. Tie-1 extracellular portion (25-279 aa) contains 3 fibronectin type III-like and 2 Ig-like C2-type, and 3-EGF-like domains.
SPECIES REACTIVITIES: The peptide sequence used is 100% conserved in mouse, rat, and bovine. Antibody crossreactivity in other species is not established.
Storage and Stability
Maintain frozen at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 12 months after date of receipt. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw.
