Application
Anti-Glycine Receptor α3 subunit Antibody detects level of Glycine Receptor α3 subunit & has been published & validated for use in IH & WB.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: 1:100-500 dilution from a previous lot detected Glycine Receptor α3 subunit in mouse spinal cord and mouse eye tissue.
General description
Glycine receptor α3 subunit, also known as GLRA3, belongs to the ligand-gated ion channel family. Glycine functions as a inhibitory neurotransmitter throughout the CNS of mammals. The Glycine receptor is a neurotransmitter ligand-gated ion channel. GLRA3 is a pentamer that is composed of ligand binding alpha and structural beta subunits. When glycine binds to the receptor, chloride conductance increases which produces hyperpolarization. It is expressed in the hippocampus, olfactory bulb, and cerebellum. GLRA3 may be involved in human and murine neurological disorders.
Immunogen
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated linear peptide selected from residues surrounding the C-terminus of human Glycine Receptor α3 subunit.
