The O2 monitoring system incorporates a lead-free electrochemical sensor that provides protection from potential O2 depletion caused by foreign gas elements such as nitrogen or other inert gasses entering a workspace.

The Ax60+ O2 sensor also helps monitor for oxygen enrichment that can occur in workplaces that use pure O2, such as medical laboratories.

Enrichment happens when the content of the oxygen in the air of a building or room becomes greater than the normal 21 percent. When this occurs, there is a higher risk for fires as it can cause other objects to ignite quickly and rapidly.
