Application
18:1 PE CF may be used:to spike human serum to prepare concentrated lipid mix, PC:PE:fluoPE to assess basal binding properties and PC:PE:fluoPE:PIP to assess specific binding properties of the protein to each phosphoinositides (PIP)to prepare the large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs)in the preparation of fluorescent phosphoinositide?containing liposomesfor fluorescent labeling of total lipids to the initial liposome formulation mixturein the formulation of pegylated magneto-liposomes (MLs) and transferrin (Tf) embedding
Biochem/physiol Actions
Phosphatidylethanolamine controls the membrane fluidity in eukaryotic cells. Phosphoethanolamine (PHOS) has the ability to repress tumour growth bothin vitro and in vivo. It possesses anticarcinogenic effects. It can also prevent the mRNA expression of cyclin D1 and VEGFR1 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1).
General description
Phosphoethanolamine (PHOS) is a precursor to phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine. 18:1 PE CF is a green fluorescent tagged phosphatidylethanolamine.
