General description

Vials are suitable basically to inject samples from an autosampler. They are available in various sizes, although 2 mL vials are more commonly used. Autosampler needle pierces through the cap during injection and withdraws the required aliquots of sample from the vials. Screw top vials (volume 1.5 mL, clear glass, O.D. × H. 12 mm × 30 mm) are used on many autosamplers with a standard opening of 4.6 mm. The threads on the standard vials are 8-425.

Suitability

Autoclavable, easy to maintain. A vial is used to store or as a closure type.
