Application
BACTIDENT™ Aminopeptidase test strips are useful for bioburden testing in industry. The aminopeptidase test is a reliable method for determining the Gram behavior and differentiating Gram-positive from Gram-negative bacteria. These test strips are used for the detection of L-alanine aminopeptidase producing microorganisms.
General description
50 test strips for the detction of L-alanine aminopeptidase in microorganisms
BACTIDENT™ Aminopeptidase test strips contain L-alanine-4-nitroanilide as a substrate, which is split into 4-nitroaniline and the amino acid L-alanine in the presence of the enzyme alanine aminotransferase. The L-alanine aminopeptidase enzyme is localized in the cell envelope of bacteria, and the development of clear yellow coloration of 4-nitroaniline indicates the presence of the enzyme.
