General description
Mitochondrial fission 1 protein, hFIs1, is an overexpressed mammlian protein that is localized to the outer mitochondrial membrane of various cell types. It is involved in the fragmentation of the mitochondrial network and its perinuclear clustering, resulting in the release of cytochrome c from the mitochondrion, and apopotosis. It is known to mediate peroxisomal fission and also plays a critical role in histone function by demethylating Lys-4 of histone H3.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated-linear peptide corresponding to the cytoplasmic topological domain of human Mitochondrial fission 1 protein.
Epitope: Cytoplasmic topological domain
