Features and Benefits
t-Boc-dPEG24-amido-dPEG23-amine is an increasingly popular choice for homobifunctional crosslinking. A tert-butyl group protects one end of this diamine-functionalized monodispersed PEG crosslinker. Carboxylic acids, aldehydes, and ketones react with both ends of the crosslinker. Carboxylic acids form amide bonds, while aldehydes and ketones react to form Schiff bases that are reducible to secondary amines. The mono-protected end of the molecule gives the user tighter control over crosslinking. The single molecular weight, discrete chain-length PEG linker is 149 atoms (107.7 Å) long and is the monodisperse PEG equivalent to PEG2000.
