Polyethylene (PE) is one of the world’s most common plastics. PE is used in a variety of common consumer products including children’s toys and care items. Current US regulations limit the concentrations of certain phthalates in childcare articles and children’s toys. Laboratories are tasked with the analysis of children’s toys for these potentially hazardous phthalates.

Chemicals sold by Cole-Parmer are not intended for and should not be (i) used for medical, surgical or other patient oriented applications, or (ii) combined with any food product or ingested in any form.

This multi-component solution contains 8 components.

• Polyethylene QC Standard Blank is a 5 g ampule which contains Bis(2-Ethylhexyl)phthalate, Butylbenzyl phthalate, Diethyl phthalate, Diisodecyl phthalate, Diisononyl phthalate, Dimethyl phthalate, Di-n-butyl phthalate, and Di-n-octyl phthalate.

• Accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ISO 17034:2016|Manufactured for GC, GC/MS, HPLC, LC/MS, and other analytical instrumentation

• Blank—to be used for testing PE phthalates
