General description
Protein BFL-1, also known as protein GRS, Bcl-2-like protein 5 (Bcl2-L-5), and Bcl-2-related protein A1 (BCL2A1), is a member of the Bcl-2 family. BFL-1 can interact with Bax and suppress apoptosis by inhibiting the release of cytochrome c and caspase-3 activation. BFL-1 is expressed in peripheral blood, spleen, bone marrow, lung, small intestine, and testis.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the N-terminus of human BFL-1.
Epitope: N-terminus
