Analysis Note
ControlA-431 cell lysate
Application
Western blot: 1:1,000 using ECL. The antibody reacts with a protein of ~90 kDa. Weak reactivity is seen to dvl-1 and dvl-2 due to protein-protein interaction, and is not abolished following peptide pre-adsorption.
Dilute antibody in 50 mM PBS, pH 7.4 containing 1.5% sodium chloride and 1% normal animal serum (same species as the host of the secondary antibody).
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

General description
DVL3 is a member of multigene family that also contains DVL1 and DVL2. The vertebrate dishevelled proteins have approximately 40% amino acid sequence similarity with Drosophila dsh. DVL3 encodes a predicted 716 amino acid polypeptide that shows 74% nucleotide similarity with human DVL1. Similarity is particularly high in the N-terminal region and there is more divergence in the C-terminal regions.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 582-596 of human and mouse disheveiled-3 protein.
Legal Information

Physical form
Format: Purified
Partially purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.01M sodium azide.
Specificity
Disheveiled-3 protein (dvl-3). Pre-adsorption of the antibody with the immunogen peptide completely abolishes its reactivity by Western blot against disheveiled-3 protein.
Storage and Stability
Maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots (not less than 10 mL) for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The use of high quality antiserum-grade plastic or glass is recommended.
