Biochem/physiol Actions

SLC35B1is a member of nucleotide sugar transporters (NSTs) and has a critical role in the function of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and protein folding and is highly expressed during ER stress. It has been reported that this transporter is involved in the maintenance of ER homeostasis during the larval development of C. elegans.
