Preparation Note

Description This concentrate sample is formulated for the determination of TPH in water by GC - FID/PID, IR or gravimetric methods. TPH consists of a light petroleum hydrocarbon (>10 to ﹤36). This solvent has the proper boiling point and IR spectra as to not interfere with the methods. Handle the concentrate in a properly ventilated hood.Sample Preparation Transfer exactly 1 mL of concentrate directly to the separatory funnel. Add 1 L of reagent grade DI water to the separatory funnel. Considere this as your sample for test. Proceed with analysis. TPH is reported in mg/L. Assume sample volume is 1 L for calculation purposes.
