Multi-element standards for AA & ICP analysis
Laboratory Fortifying Stock (LFS) Solutions is used for spiking the laboratory fortified blank and the laboratory fortified sample matrix. Two (2 mL) of the LFS solution must be added to a 100 mL aliquot of the laboratory fortified blank. This blank must be carried through the entire sample preparation procedure and analysis scheme.
Note: LFS Solution 1 dŒs not contain Ca, K, Mg, or Na because their concentration will vary from one environmental sample to the other.

This multi-element solution contains 25 components.
• Laboratory fortifying solution (LFS) 1 without mercury is a 125 mL bottle which contains 50 µg/mL (50 ppm) of Phosphorus; 25 µg/mL (25 ppm) of Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Boron, Chromium, Copper, Iron, Lead, Lithium, Manganese, Nickel, Selenium, Silica, Strontium, Thallium, Zinc; 10 µg/mL (10 ppm) of Cadmium, Cobalt, Molybdenum, Tin, Vanadium; 5 µg/mL (5 ppm) of Beryllium; and 2.5 µg/mL (2.5 ppm) of SIlver.
