Biochem/physiol Actions

Increased circulating levels of L-alpha-lysophosphatidylinositol (LPI) are associated with cancer and LPI is a potent ligand for the G-protein-coupled receptor GPR55.

Lysophosphatidylinositol (LPI) is expected to play a vital role in various diseases. Ca2+channels at the plasma membrane and mitochondrial membrane are controlled by LPI. It can also stimulate various signaling pathways to control several cellular processes. LPI can block the migration of cells.
