SLC25A25 is a member of family of calcium-binding mitochondrial carriers located in the inner membranes of mitochondria. It is ATP-Mg/Pi carrier and regulates the movement of adenine nucleotides in mitochondria. SLC25A25 maintains the homeostasis of ATP and Ca⁺² cycling in the skeletal muscle.
