General description

Ski oncogene (SKI) is also called Proto-oncogene c-Ski. Ski acts as a repressor of TGF-beta signaling. Ski is thought to be involved in terminal differentiation of skeletal muscle cells, but not in driving cells toward a myogenic lineage.
