General description

Histone H2A deubiquitinase MYSM, often referred to as 2A-DUB is metalloprotease that specifically deubiquitinates monoubiquitinated histone H2A. 2A-DUB regulates transcription by coordinating histone acetylation and deubiquitination, and destabilizing the association of linker histone H1 with nucleosomes. The 2A-DUB mechanism may just be one of many H2A ubiquitination proteins that have the ability to regulate transcription. 2A-DUB is also essential for cell cycle progression and gene expression.

Storage and Stability

Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.

Target description

~100 kDa observed. Uncharacterized bands at ~26, ~35, ~49 and ~66 kDa may be observed in in some lysates. Bands at ~66 and ~26 kDa may represent isoforms resulting from alternative splicing.
