General description
EPS8 (epidermal growth factor receptor kinase substrate 8), which was originally identified as a substrate for the kinase activity of EGFR, is a multifunctional protein that is known to play a role in spermatogenesis, the regulation of actin, and other cellular processes. EPS8 uses its SH3 domain to complex with Abi1 and SOS1, leading to Rac activation and subsequent actin cytoskeletal remodeling. In the same manner, it binds with RN-tre to inhibit the internalization of EGFR. EPS8 also works with Arp3 to modulate actin dynamics within the seminiferous epithelium at the apical ES and the BTB.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human EPS8.
