General description
T-cell differentiation antigen CD6, also known as CD_antigen CD6, T12, and TP120. CD6 is a monomeric 105- or 130-kD membrane glycoprotein that is involved in T-cell activation. The size difference between the two CD6 forms is due to differences in phosphorylation. CD6 mediates cellular adhesion and migration across the endothelial and epithelial cells. CD6 may bind in trans to surface glycoproteins. These transinteractions are reinforced during autoimmune diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Sjögren′s syndrome, and multiple sclerosis and some cancers.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human CD6.
