Application
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected MACC1 in human lung, colon, and breast cancer tumor cells.
This Anti-MACC1 Antibody is validated for use in Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry for the detection of MACC1 .
General description
Metastasis-associated in colon cancer protein 1 (UniProt Q6ZN28; also known as Putative binding protein 7a5, SH3 domain-containing protein 7a5) is encoded by the MACC1 gene (also known as 7A5, SH3BP4L) (Gene ID 346389) in human. MACC1 is an oncogenic transcription activator that was initially detected in colon cancer. Ongoing studies also establish a strong association between MACC1 upregulation and tumor metastasis, progression, and poor prognosis in many other types of cancers, including cervical cancer, epithelial ovarian cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, rectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, breast cancer, osteosarcoma, glioma, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, and in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to the C-terminus of human MACC1.
