Biochem/physiol Actions

HEXIM1 expression is induced by hexamethylene-bis-acetamide in vascular smooth muscle cells. The function of this protein is not yet known.

General description

HEXIM1 is induced by hexamethylene bis-acetamide. It co-ordinates with 7SK snRNAand subsequently inhibits P-TEFb (CDK9/Cyclin T) and RNA polymerase II.Rabbit Anti-HEXIM1 antibody recognizes bovine, human, mouse, rat, zebrafish, and canine HEXIM1.
