Application

Anti-DNAJC14 antibody produced in rabbit has been used for immunofluorescence studies and western blot analysis. Biochem/physiol Actions

DNAJC14 (DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member C14) chaperone protein interacts with dopamine D1 receptor and regulates receptor trafficking between endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and plasma membrane. It also modulates the life cycles of various Flaviviridae family members and Flavivirus replication. DNAJC14 helps in SNARE (Soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor activating protein receptor) complex-mediated transport by interacting with the lysosomal trafficking regulator protein.DNAJC14 plays an important role in regulating yellow fever virus (YFV) replication complex assembly. The DNAJC family protein are also involved in various biological processes such as translation, exocytosis and endocytosis.

General description

DNAJC14 (DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member C14) belongs to Hsp40 chaperone family. The protein contains 70-amino acid motif called J-domain and a C- terminal domain. J-domain facilitates ATP hydrolysis during chaperoning process. The gene coding for DNAJC14 protein is mapped to human chromosome 12q13.2.
