Biochem/physiol Actions
Collapsin response mediator protein 5 (CRMP5) or dihydropyrimidinase like 5 (DPYSL5) has a role in the development and repair of the nervous system. It has been associated with paraneoplastic neurologic syndromes and is a biomarker for high-grade lung neuroendocrine carcinomas.

General description
Dihydropyrimidinase like 5 (DPYSL5) or collapsin response mediator protein 5 (CRMP5) is a cytosolic protein. It is expressed in regions of neurogenesis in the brain. CRMP5 is part of the CRMP cytosolic phosphoprotein family and the gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 2p23.3.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to a region derived from 504-518 amino acids of Human Collapsin response mediator protein 5
Physical form
Supplied at 0.5mg/mL in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.3, 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Specificity
The antibody detects endogenous level of total CRMP5 protein.
